OK Suz - What is Mana?  And I'm not talking about in the Biblical sense.

I'm assuming it's a "good" thing, but what's it good for?  I assume you earn it in some way from your fellow Bulletin Board members, moderators, etc?

If you get enough mana - does Ed McMann(a)  come to your door with a big check from Publisher's Clearing House?  Or better yet - with a crew of people to help you - like a personal assistant, chef, housekeeper, landscaper, daily massage therapist, and weekly FREE visit from an LLMD?

BTW - I thought I gave you more manna tonight - but nothing seemed to happen.  Did ballons come down at your house?  Any music play...anything fun at all?

OH - what else I read is that you can take any extra mana AWAY from members at a later time - as if it's a slap on the hand or something.  Tsk Tsk!  SO DON'T MAKE ME MAD, MISSY!

But please advise about this mana stuff, and feel free to lie about this.  I crave more FUN in my life.

xoxo,

DR

PS - Suz if I automatically make you an ADMINISTRATOR of this Bulletin Board would that make you mad?  OK....scale of 1 to 10 - HOW mad? How much of my MANA would you try to take away?

Mana is a way to acknowledge the contributions of other members.  If you value someone's input/participation, you can give them mana.  I think you can also take it away.

Other members, primarily new ones who do not yet "know" other members, may then use someone's mana rating as a way to determine who has significant knowledge or other attributes valued by other board members.

I have not used mana on my message boards (there was no interest), and I could not find specific information in a quick search of the WowBB forums, so I do not remember specifics.
