Hey rivergem,
I think I actually got that! Thanks anyway, I appreciate it. I'm going for a lung
biopsy on Friday and hopefully that will tell us what's going on in there and how
to treat it. Isn't there an easier way? Anyway thats what the dr. suggests, and
he expects to be able to fix me up, so I'm ready. Thanks again!

Hi Eve!
The pics I posted aren't of Uvalde, they are of Del Rio. And I think it's beautiful - even though the "local loser" name for it is "Hell Rio." They just haven't done anything but go to the mall, so they don't know what beauty is if it bit them in the ass, HAHAHA.
I've never been to Lubbock, so I can't judge it. There HAS to be something of beauty there, after all, there are beautiful people there anyway.
I'm up to 6 dogs now. I took in 2 foster puppies. They are the cutest!
The boy is "Running Bear" & the girl is "Little White Dove"
Bear has the red eyes because his eyes are hazel. Dove's are darker brown.
I have a house full of white dogs (and hair to match it).

Ok, Annie...I sort of figured that out too late. Without it right up here, I can't remember which is which, but those photos were sho nuff perty. I live where sand blows with the force of 10 helicopters landing most days. It is so hot that I can't go out. The people look like they belong in the fair. (mean, but true) Not all...just the ones at my grocery store.
Lubbock is BIG Bush country and I am a big Daily Show lover, so you can see the problem. There's lots and lots and lots and lots of churches. And I have a fear of churches in general, so i know that i live i the wrong town for my disposition.
i are tired.

Hi everyone!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Lauren. I'm 21 and married with one child, a son, named Holden (who is 2).
I have yet to be diagnosed with LD. I know something isn't right with how I feel. I've always been a healthy person. The end of last year I was bit by a tick. I was really grossed out by it and had to scream for my husband to come pull it out. I never gave that incident a second thought until now.
In January I first started noticing that I was feeling 'different'. I was working at a daycare. I found myself feeling run-down and lightheaded. I attributed the fatigue to having to chase after babies all day. LOL. I worked in the nursery and we had a lot of crawlers. However the lighteadedness really bothered me. It would get so bad that I would have to sit down constantly through out the day. I didn't go to a doctor though. This dizzy/lightheaded feeling seemed to come and go.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the first symptoms but in March I started to become really achey. I just felt old. I'm only 21 so I was a little annoyed about how I was feeling. I remember we had gone to Colorado to visit the inlaws and my back started to hurt very badly. So bad that I was really scared. My whole spine throbbed. This lasted for about a week or so and then went away. However the aches have stayed.
I was still dealing with the fainting feeling at this time. One evening in April I was sitting down to change my son's diaper. All of a sudden my heart starting racing. It made it hard to catch my breath. I was so frightened. My husband counted the beats per minute and it was over 100. This was just sitting down. My heart did this for about 3 hours or so.. then it started to beat normally again. I told my husband that I would go to the doctor on Monday. (It was a Saturday).
I really hate doctors. On Monday I decided not to go see anyone since my heart had been acting fine. However in the coming weeks I started to have a lot of chest pain and the lightheadness was still there. I finally went to a doctor. I had an EKG, blood test, and a urinalysis. The doctor said I was healthy. He told me that it was probably stress. Sigh!
After a couple more weeks and still having chest pain I went to another doctor. There I was told I had heartburn. I knew it wasn't heartburn... I told him about getting bit by a tick and thinking it *might* be LD. He asked if I had a rash. I told him no.. though I could of.. I was bit on my pubic area.. so who knows. He said your pretty much have to have a rash.
So here I am now. Still don't have any answers. The thought of going to another dr. that will look at me crazy when I mention LD gets me discouraged. I don't know if it's LD. Maybe it's not.... I just wish doctors would be more open minded.
Right now the symptoms I have are lightheadness, on and off chest pain, numbness in my legs, heart flutters. It is really interferring with my life. I can't even go to the store by myself. When I go with my husband, I have to lean on to the basket. I constantly feel like I'm just going to fall over. I feel like I'm in a fog.
We've been planning our Summer vacation and I feel so sad. I can't imagine having a good time with the way I feel.:-(
Sorry for making my intro. so long. I probably should of put this in the story forum.
I am very glad to have found this site.. maybe I can get some support.
~Lauren

Awww cute pic Lauren. Hey, Eve's from Lubbock too, maybe you 2 can lean on each other.
Go to which ever MD Eve went to - to get a diagnosis. Too many MDs don't have a clue how to do the testing for Lyme or other tick borne illnesses. Sounds like you could have one or more TBI.
I feel like you do a lot of the time, on & off. I think we're all pretty much convinced that you never fully get rid of it, but hopefully we can keep it from getting worse & treat symptoms too.
I just retired on disability 2 mos ago, and I've been feeling sick since I was close to your age. I didn't get a diagnosis though till almost 20 years later.
Welcome to you & all the other recent newbies!!!
We're all here to help each other.

Hey Lauren,
At least you know that you were bit by a tick...that is a good clue. And, there is Eve there in Lubbock, too. Having a doctor really listen to your story, is worth it's weight in gold. Hopefully, Eve can help you find that doctor.
I had the rash but no knowledge of a tick.
Best wishes,
Vicki (rivergem)

Welcome RITA, first day on the web site. I hope everyone get something from reading and posting, and then...giving something back to the group. I've got to give up on this posting, tonight, and let some newbee's speek. I have out of towners coming tomorow, and the house is a wrecklll Talk to morrow.
I'm taking many meds that I'll be corninating. Any suggestions, will help, thanks!

Well I finally got into the doctor and got an IgeneX test. Thanks to Eve for referring me to a lyme literate doctor! This evening I got the call about my test results. I was so so shocked to hear that it was positive. I mean I knew something was up by the way I feel and that I had been bitten by a tick, but I didn't really think I would have Lyme. The nurse told me that the doctor said it was the most positive test he had ever seen. I don't really know what that means. Kind of scary. She also said that my B12 vitamin level was low. I'm not really sure what this means either.. I'm meeting with the doctor tomorrow to discuss treatment options. I'm kind of relieved to know what it is that is making me sick, but scared at the same time. I just hope I can overcome this.Last edited on Thu Jun 28th, 2007 04:14 am by Lauren85
