OK, I have a funny "Lyme Moment" from work that I will share.
I answered inquiry emails about the park, and sometimes people would send emails to our info adress for one of our employees to email them back or call.
The park has volunteers, but they don't have .gov email addresses. Well, one day we had a luncheon at work and all the volunteers were there. A pair of campground hosts had the last name "White" amd they were talking about taking a conoe trip up either the Pecos or the Devils River, but I wasn't paying too much attention to the details of it. I was eating.
Ok, now being a reservoir, Lake Amistad has 3 rivers feeding it; the aforementioned two, and the Rio Grande, which is the river that is damed up, most of our inquiries are from fishermen (or hate mail, being a gov entity).
I saw an email in the info box that said something to the effect of, "Have the Whites gone up the Pecos yet?"
I answered, "No, but they are planning a trip. Not sure if it's the Pecos or the Devils, but they will be going."
The guy wrote back something like, "Oh, ha ha, I guess this is some kind of code for the white bass going up river to spawn? Very funny. Do you know when they will be running up?"
I was so embarrassed. I normally would have known right off the bat what he was referring to, but I still was thinking about the Whites planning their canoe trip. I thought that mabe they met some campers and told them about their plans.
LOL @ ME!!!
I'm so freaking ADD it;s not EVEN funny sometimes.
