I need help with PM these last few days have been a killer on my lower back.

I can't get comfortable sitting, standing or lying down.  :(

My lower back and my hips hurt so much I can't stand it.  I had such a bad night last night.  I even took some flexeril and lay on top of an ice pad.  I tossed and turned all night still in pain.

:?  Stretching only hurts more.  What do I do?

I hurt in my lower back some months back and did a technique that got my husband through many back surgeries; that is, lay on your side with your knees tucked up as close to your chin, for as long as you can (for me it was 30 minutes while watching a TV progam while laying on the floor, or you could lay in bed).  It seems to separate the spine and it starts to feel better.  You can do it as often as you need to.

Then, the next day, when it was somewhat more bearable, I did a few hip curls (lying on the floor with knees bent) working the pelvis area, slowly.

It was only last week that I noticed the pain was back, so I started all over again before it got so painful, again.

I've lost a LOT of muscle these last few months, and I feel like that could be the source of my pain, or the second source, anyway. :?   Vicki

Thanks Vicky I'll have to try that.

My back's been ok these past couple of days, but I'll have to mow again soon and it'll be back  so I'll have to try your release method.

Thanks!
